About Loxostege albiceralis Grote, 1878
Loxostege albiceralis is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1878. This moth occurs in North America, with confirmed records ranging from southern California and Nevada east to Texas. It inhabits arid regions and deserts. The forewings of adults measure 13 to 18 mm in length. Adult moths have been observed in flight between March and October. The larvae of this species feed on Lycium carolinianum var. quadrifidum.
