Lonicera ligustrina Wall., commonly called privet-like honeysuckle and known as nü zhen ye ren dong in Chinese, is a species of honeysuckle. It is distributed in the central and eastern Himalayas across Bhutan, India, and Nepal, as well as in southern and central China. This plant grows as an evergreen, semi-evergreen, or deciduous shrub, reaching an approximate height of 1.5 to 2.5 meters. It bears leathery or paper-like leaves that measure 0.4–8 centimeters in length and 0.2–1.5 centimeters in width.
