The Javan munia, scientifically named Lonchura leucogastroides (Moore, 1858), is a species of estrildid finch. It is native to the islands of southern Sumatra, Java, Bali, and Lombok in Indonesia, and has been introduced to Singapore and the Malay Peninsula. This species lives in subtropical and tropical dry shrubland and grassland habitats. It feeds on algae, and has been assessed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
