Lonchura fringilloides, commonly known as the magpie mannikin or magpie munia (alternatively classified under the scientific name Spermestes fringilloides), is a species of estrildid finch. It occurs sparsely across Sub-Saharan Africa, with an estimated global extent of occurrence of 1,400,000 km². This species inhabits subtropical or tropical lowland moist shrubland, forest, and dry grassland. It is currently classified as Least Concern on conservation status assessments.
