About Lomatium piperi J.M.Coult. & Rose
Lomatium piperi J.M.Coult. & Rose is a perennial herb that grows from a spherical tuber that is no more than 1 centimeter wide, reaching a maximum length of about 25 centimeters. This species typically does not produce an above-ground stem; its leaves and inflorescence emerge directly at ground level. The leaf blades are first divided into segments, which are further subdivided into narrow, flat lobes. The inflorescence takes the form of an umbel bearing white flowers with dark anthers.
