Lomatium dasycarpum (Torr. & A.Gray) J.M.Coult. & Rose is a lightly hairy perennial herb that reaches approximately half a meter in maximum height. Its upright leaves grow from the base of the plant, and can reach up to 24 centimeters long; their blades are divided into many small, narrow segments. The plant produces an umbel inflorescence that holds hairy greenish or purplish flowers. These flowers develop into woolly, flattened, disclike fruits that grow up to 2 centimeters long.
