Lomariocycas aurata, which has the synonym Blechnum auratum, is a tree fern belonging to the family Blechnaceae. It grows in montane rainforests and cloud forests, occurring across the range from Costa Rica to Bolivia. Its trunk reaches up to 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) in height, and measures approximately 15 centimeters (5.9 inches) thick. The once-pinnate fronds of this species are roughly 1 meter (3 feet 3 inches) long.
