About Litoria inermis (Peters, 1867)

Adult Litoria inermis (common name Bumpy rocket frog) measure approximately 35 mm (1.4 inches) in length, while mature tadpoles reach around 42 mm (1.7 inches). Their dorsal surface is brown or grey, covered in many small warts and marked with darker patches. The toes are half to three-quarters webbed, and the fingers have no webbing. The natural habitats of this species are subtropical or tropical swamps, dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland, and intermittent freshwater marshes, particularly areas surrounding rain-filled pools. Litoria inermis lays its eggs in clumps ranging from 96 to 330 brown eggs, which are deposited on the surface of temporary pools.
