The transverse volcanic leopard frog, scientifically known as Lithobates neovolcanicus, is a species of frog in the family Ranidae. This species is endemic to the southern edge of the Mexican Plateau in Mexico. Its natural habitats are pine-oak forests and mesquite grasslands located near lakes, pools, or slow-flowing streams. It is currently threatened by habitat loss.
