Forrer's grass frog, also called Forrer's leopard frog, has the scientific name Lithobates forreri. It is a frog species belonging to the family Ranidae. Its range extends from Mexico through Central America, covering Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, all the way to Costa Rica. This species is widespread and common. It occurs in lowland and seasonal tropical forests, and can also adapt to human-created habitats including flooded agricultural lands and other water-containing systems. Reproduction for this frog requires permanent pools and lagoons.
