About Lithacodia musta (Grote & Robinson, 1868)

Lithacodia musta, also known under the synonym Deltote musta and common name the small mossy lithacodia moth, is a moth species belonging to the family Noctuidae. This species was first formally described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote and Coleman Townsend Robinson in 1868. In the United States, it occurs from New Hampshire south to Florida, west to Arizona, and north to Wisconsin. The wingspan of adult moths ranges from 15 to 19 millimeters. Adults of this species are active in flight between May and September.
