About Liorhyssus hyalinus (Fabricius, 1794)

Liorhyssus hyalinus (Fabricius, 1794) reaches a body length of 6.5–7.5 millimetres, or 0.26–0.30 inches. Its basic body color ranges from yellow-brown to red, while the upperside of its abdomen is mainly dark. This species can be identified by the hyaline membrane of its hemelytra, which is long enough to extend beyond the black upperside of the abdomen. Two black spots are present at the outer end of the pronotum. These bugs are quite similar in appearance to species in the Rhopalus and Stictopleurus genera. This species is distributed across most of Europe, Africa, Australia, Northern Asia, Middle America, North America, Oceania, South America, and Southern Asia.
