About Lioptilus nigricapillus (Vieillot, 1818)
The bush blackcap, scientifically named Lioptilus nigricapillus (previously classified as Sylvia nigricapillus), is a bird species that belongs to the Sylviidae family. This species is endemic to South Africa and Eswatini. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland. The species is currently threatened by habitat loss.
