Liolaemus nitidus, commonly called the shining tree iguana, is a species of lizard belonging to the family Liolaemidae. This species is endemic to Chile, where it occurs notably in the Chilean matorral ecoregion. It is a medium-sized lizard, growing to 9 centimeters in snout-to-vent length, with a total length of up to 27 centimeters when its long tail is included. Liolaemus nitidus is oviparous. Juvenile individuals generally eat insects, while adult individuals typically follow a more omnivorous diet.
