About Liolaemus constanzae Donoso-Barros, 1961
Liolaemus constanzae, commonly called Constanza's tree iguana, is a species of lizard that belongs to the family Liolaemidae. This species is endemic to South America. Within South America, L. constanzae has been confirmed to occur in Chile. There are no confirmed records of the species existing in Argentina, though its presence there is considered possible. Scientists also expect the species to be found in Bolivia. The preferred natural habitats for L. constanzae are sandy and rocky areas within desert and shrubland environments. It occurs at altitudes ranging from 1,400 meters to 3,900 meters, which is equal to 4,600 feet to 12,800 feet. L. constanzae reproduces by laying eggs, meaning it is an oviparous species.
