Linum tenuifolium, commonly called the narrow-leaved flax, is a flowering plant species that belongs to the Linaceae family. It is a perennial plant. Its native range spans central and southern Europe, the Black Sea and Caucasus region, and the northern Middle East extending as far as northwestern Iran. It typically grows in rocky, alkaline, dry habitats, and is believed to have expanded its distribution from relict rocky steppes located in Europe.
