Lindera aggregata (Sims) Kosterm. is a plant species that belongs to the genus Lindera. Its root, known as wuyao or radix lindera, is listed in the Compendium of Materia Medica and the Kampo herb list. This root is an ingredient in the traditional Chinese medicine pill Chaihu Shugan Wan, which is used to address stagnation of liver qi, distension of chest and hypochondria, indigestion, and acid eructation. It is also an ingredient in Lindera Combination Teapills, a classic Chinese herbal formula that has the pinyin name tiāntái wūyào wán, written 天台乌药丸 in simplified Chinese and 天臺烏藥丸 in traditional Chinese.
