About Limonium sinense (Girard) Kuntze

Limonium sinense is a flowering plant species that belongs to the sea lavender genus Limonium, in the family Plumbaginaceae. It is native to coastal China, Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, and Vietnam. This perennial plant grows up to 60 cm (24 in) tall, and is found on sandy, salty shales adjacent to the ocean. Numerous cultivars with a broad range of flower colors have been developed specifically for the cut flower industry. Wild specimens of Limonium sinense have flowers with white sepals and yellow petals.
