About Limonium narbonense Mill.
Limonium narbonense Mill. is a perennial herbaceous plant that grows to a height of approximately 30 to 70 centimeters (1.2 to 2.8 inches). Its leaves are 12 to 30 inches long, shaped lanceolate-spatulate, and grow in a basal rosette. It produces a large inflorescence that has few or no sterile branches. Its flowers range in color from white to pale violet, and have a calyx measuring approximately 5 to 7 millimeters across. This species flowers from June through September. This plant occurs in Southern Europe, North Africa, and Southwest Asia. It grows in Mediterranean coastal habitats including beaches, salt marshes, coastal prairie, and other sandy saline environments.
