About Ligularia fischeri (Ledeb.) Turcz.
Ligularia fischeri (Ledeb.) Turcz. is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial plant that can reach up to 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) in height. It produces light green, kidney-shaped basal leaves with coarse teeth; these leaves grow up to 40 centimeters (16 inches) across and are borne on long stalks. Leaves growing along the stem are smaller in size and attached to shorter stalks. In midsummer, the plant develops racemes of yellow flowerheads that can reach 75 centimeters (30 inches) in length, with each flowerhead measuring up to 5 centimeters (2 inches) across. After flowering, it forms seed capsules, holding seeds that have downy hairs tinted brown or purple.
