Ligia australiensis (Dana, 1853), commonly known as the Australian marine slater, is a species of woodlouse that belongs to the family Ligiidae. This species is commonly found along the southern coast of Australia, including the coast of Tasmania, where it hides under many different types of covering. It occurs less frequently along the coast of New South Wales, but can be found in large numbers in New South Wales estuaries.
