About Lieinix nemesis (Latreille, 1813)

Lieinix nemesis is a butterfly species belonging to the family Pieridae. It has several common names: the frosted mimic-white, nemesis mimic white, and falcate dismorphia. This butterfly can be found across the range from Mexico to Peru, and it lives in mid-elevation cloudforest habitats. Its wingspan measures between 55 and 65 mm, or 2.2 to 2.6 inches. Adult individuals of this species show sexual dimorphism. The larvae of Lieinix nemesis are thought to feed on plants from the genus Inga, specifically including Inga mortoniana and Inga densiflora.
