Leucoraja garmani, commonly known as the rosette skate, is an abundant mid-depth skate species. The rosette skate typically lives at depths ranging from 33 to 530 meters (110 to 1,740 feet). On the United States Atlantic Coast, its range extends as far north as Nantucket Shoals and as far south as Dry Tortugas at the extremes of its distribution there. Outside of the U.S. Atlantic Coast, this species can also be found throughout the Caribbean, along the eastern shores of Mexico and Central America, and along the northern shores of South America.
