Leuconycta lepidula, a moth species known by the common names marbled-green leuconycta moth, marbled-green jaspidia, and dark leuconycta, belongs to the family Noctuidae. It was first formally described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1874. This moth is found across North America, ranging from Nova Scotia in the east to North Carolina in the southeast, extending west to Texas and north to Alberta. The adult wingspan of this species is approximately 30 millimeters. Adults have one generation per year, and they are active in flight from May through August. The larvae of Leuconycta lepidula feed on plants in the Taraxacum genus, which includes Taraxacum officinale, the common dandelion.
