This species is Leucania yu Guenée, 1852. The adult has a wingspan of 3 cm. Its forewings are pale brown, while its hindwings are buff coloured. On each forewing, over the cell, there is a characteristic narrow, triangular, pale wedge that is dark brown towards the distal end.
