Lethocerus medius is a species of giant water bug that belongs to the family Belostomatidae. Its range extends through Central America from northern Panama, north across Mexico into southern Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas in the United States. It also occurs in Cuba, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas. Adult males of this species reach 49 to 58 millimeters in length, while adult females reach 62 to 63 millimeters in length.
