Leptuca leptodactyla (Rathbun, 1898) is a crab species whose carapace can reach a maximum width of 13 millimeters. Its geographic distribution spans southern Florida, Mexico, the West Indies, Venezuela, and Brazil. In Brazil, this species occurs along the coast between the states of Maranhão and Santa Catarina. This crab inhabits brackish and saline environments, which include mangrove stands and intertidal sand flats, and it prefers to live on sandy substrates.
