Leptosiphon bicolor Nutt., whose scientific synonym is Linanthus bicolor, is commonly known as true babystars. It is a low-growing annual flowering plant, related to the Phlox genus, and it grows in clumps of needle-like leaves. Its populations often include both plants with white flowers and plants with pink flowers. This species is native to the west coast of North America, ranging from northern Baja California to southern British Columbia.
