About Leptopoma perlucidum (Grateloup, 1840)

This species, Leptopoma perlucidum (Grateloup, 1840), shows sexual size dimorphism in its shell dimensions: adult females have shells approximately 14 mm (0.6 in) in both width and height, while adult males have shells approximately 13 mm (0.5 in) in both width and height. The shell itself is translucent milky-white; any green coloration visible on the snail comes from its underlying mantle tissue. Leptopoma perlucidum is distributed across Indonesia, Sabah (Malaysia), the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, and Australia.
