About Leptopoma nitidum taivanum Möllendorff, 1883

This subspecies, Leptopoma nitidum taivanum Möllendorff, 1883, has different average shell dimensions by sex: for females, both shell width and height measure about 14 mm (0.6 in), while for males, both measure about 13 mm (0.5 in). The shell itself is translucent milky-white; the visible green color on the animal comes from its underlying mantle. This subspecies is distributed across Indonesia, Sabah (Malaysia), the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, and Australia.
