About Leptomantis harrissoni (Inger & Haile, 1959)
Leptomantis harrissoni is a species of medium-sized frog. Adult males of this species reach a length of approximately 50 millimetres (2.0 in), while adult females reach approximately 70 millimetres (2.8 in). Individuals have an angular, pointed snout and well-developed dark webbing between the toes of their hands, with a basic brown body coloration. Tadpoles of this species grow to approximately 40 millimetres (1.6 in) in length. They have an ovoid body, a short snout, and a well-developed, rather pointed tail fin, with a basic dark brown coloration. This species is widely distributed across northern Borneo. It can be found in Sarawak and Sabah (Malaysia), Brunei, and northern Kalimantan (Indonesia). Its natural habitat is primary or old secondary lowland rainforest, on both flat and hilly terrain, at elevations below 350 m. This species is currently threatened by habitat loss.
