About Leptodactylus ventrimaculatus Boulenger, 1902

Leptodactylus ventrimaculatus is a species of frog belonging to the family Leptodactylidae. This species is native to Colombia and Ecuador. It is a nocturnal species that inhabits forest areas located near streams. This frog has some level of tolerance to human-caused habitat disturbance, and individuals have been observed living in pastures and secondary forests. Recorded elevations for this species reach up to 1400 meters above sea level. For reproduction, adult frogs lay their eggs on low-growing vegetation.
