The Ankarana sportive lemur, whose scientific name is Lepilemur ankaranensis, is also known as the Ankarana weasel lemur. It is a species of sportive lemur that is endemic to Madagascar. It is one of the smaller sportive lemur species. Its total length is approximately 53 cm (21 in), 25 cm (9.8 in) of which is the tail. The species has an average body weight of about 750 grams, or 1.65 lb. This lemur lives in northern Madagascar. Its habitats include dry lowland forests located in Ankarana, Andrafiamena, and Analamerana, as well as the moist montane forest of Montagne d'Ambre.
