Lepidosperma elatius Labill. is a plant species in the sedge family. It is native to Australia, where it occurs in the states of New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and Tasmania. Mature plants reach a height of 1 to 2.5 metres (3 ft 3 in to 8 ft 2 in). Its leaves are 5 to 15 millimetres (0.20 to 0.59 in) wide, convex on both sides, and have sharp edges. The plant produces drooping sprays of spikelets that measure 18 to 65 centimetres (7.1 to 25.6 in) in length. Flowering occurs from November to April each year.
