Leotia atrovirens Pers. is a species of mushroom, and its edibility is currently unknown. The cap of this species is green, and darkens to dark green as it matures. The cap has a lumpy texture, and is slimy or sticky when young. The stem ranges in color from light green to dark green. This mushroom produces a white spore print, has no gills, and has a gelatinous fruiting body. It typically grows in clusters ranging from small to large, with individual mushrooms growing close to one another. It grows under conifer trees, and also grows well on dead stumps and in moist soil.
