Lentinus sajor-caju (Fr.) Fr. has the following morphological features. Its pileus is 4โ€“8 cm wide, infundibuliform (funnel-shaped), and ranges in color from white to yellowish brown to light brown. Its gills are decurrent, and it produces a white spore print. The stipe is white, short, and bears an annular ring. This species has no distinct odor. Ecologically, Lentinus sajor-caju (Fr.) Fr. is saprophytic. It grows on rotten wood, and has been recorded from regions including India, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Tanzania.
