It occurs as scattered populations across Central Europe. The wingspan of adult Lemonia dumi ranges from 45 to 65 mm. This moth flies between October and November, with flight timing varying by location. The larvae of Lemonia dumi feed on plant species from the genera Hieracium and Taraxacum.
