About Leea indica (Burm.fil.) Merr.

Leea indica (Burm.fil.) Merr. is a large shrub belonging to the Vitaceae family, that can reach up to 5 meters (16 feet) in height. It is commonly found growing in the undergrowth of secondary and disturbed evergreen forests across Indomalaya, Indochina, and the entire Western Ghats region of India. Populations previously identified as this species from Malesia, New Guinea, Australia, and southwestern Pacific islands are now classified as the separate distinct species Leea nova-guineensis.
