About Ledebouria ovalifolia (Schrad.) Jessop
Ledebouria ovalifolia has leaves with obtuse tips, and small lines of papillae on their upper surface. Its leaves grow pressed close against the ground, or occasionally spread partially. When flowers appear, the leaves are only partly emerged. Flowers are borne laxly, usually on a single solitary inflorescence. Flower color ranges from purple to white, and the anthers are violet. The ovary has 3 lobes. Unlike many other Ledebouria species, neither the leaves nor the live bulb scales of L. ovalifolia produce any threads when torn.
