It also occurs on the islands of Sicily and Crete. The wingspan of adult Lecithocera nigrana measures between 12 and 14 mm. Adults of this species have one generation per year, and they are active in flight from early June through the end of July. The caterpillar larvae of Lecithocera nigrana feed on a wide variety of broadleaved trees and shrubs.
