Lecithocera nigrana is a species of moth that belongs to the family Lecithoceridae. It was originally described by Philogène Auguste Joseph Duponchel, and the species is dated to 1836 in its scientific naming, with an original publication year of 1835 given in the description. This moth can be found in Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Albania, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Turkey, Moldova, and Ukraine. It also occurs on the islands of Sicily and Crete. The wingspan of adult Lecithocera nigrana measures between 12 and 14 mm. Adults of this species have one generation per year, and they are active in flight from early June through the end of July. The caterpillar larvae of Lecithocera nigrana feed on a wide variety of broadleaved trees and shrubs.
