About Lecithocera imprudens Meyrick, 1914

Lecithocera imprudens is a species of moth belonging to the family Lecithoceridae. It was first described by Edward Meyrick in 1914. This moth is found in Australia, with recorded occurrences in New South Wales and Queensland. Its wingspan measures approximately 17 mm. The forewings are fuscous in color, mixed with dark fuscous markings. Its dark fuscous stigmata have the plical stigma positioned rather beyond the first discal stigma, and the second discal stigma is double. Very indistinct, cloudy darker dots are present along the posterior section of the costa and the termen. The hindwings are a rather dark shade of grey.
