About Laportea interrupta (L.) Chew
Laportea interrupta (L.) Chew is a low-growing, monoecious annual herb. It typically reaches a height of 0.05 to 2 metres, which is equal to 2.0 inches to 6 feet 6.7 inches. Both its leaves and stems are covered in irritant hairs. The plant produces flowers that range in color from white to cream to green, and it generally flowers during warmer months. This species occurs naturally across parts of tropical and southern Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and Mozambique. Its range extends through Tropical and Subtropical Asia and northern Australia, reaching as far as the northwestern Pacific.
