Lampsilis cariosa, commonly called the yellow lampmussel, is a species of freshwater mussel. It is an aquatic bivalve mollusk that belongs to Unionidae, the river mussel family. This species' natural habitat is rivers. It is distributed in Canada and the United States. In Canada, it occurs in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC) has assessed this species as a species of special concern. Under the Canadian Species at Risk Act, it is also listed as a species of special concern on the List of Wildlife Species at Risk in Canada.
