About Lamprigera taimoshana Yiu, 2017

Lamprigera taimoshana, commonly known as the Tai Mo Shan elephant firefly, is endemic to Hong Kong. It belongs to the Lamprigera genus of fireflies and glow-worms, a group that remains poorly resolved taxonomically. This species lives in montane forest and grassland located at elevations above 600 meters, and has only ever been recorded on some of Hong Kong’s highest peaks, including Tai Mo Shan and Sunset Peak.
