About Lampranthus tenuifolius (L.) N.E.Br.

This tiny brightfig species, Lampranthus tenuifolius (L.) N.E.Br., typically grows no taller than 10–15 cm. It produces bright pink and violet flowers. In its natural range, this plant grows only in the coastal dune Strandveld vegetation of the Cape Flats, Cape Town, where it occurs in mildly alkaline or neutral sands.
