About Lamarckia aurea (L.) Moench
Lamarckia aurea (L.) Moench is an annual plant that typically grows 30 to 45 centimeters tall. It produces clusters of golden flowers arranged in a panicle that measures 5 to 8 centimeters long and 2 to 2.5 centimeters broad. The species is native to the Mediterranean Basin and neighboring regions, ranging from Portugal and the Canary Islands eastward to Ethiopia and northern India. It has also become naturalized in parts of Australia and the Americas, and is considered an invasive weed in some of these areas.
