Lagunaria patersonia is a tree species that belongs to the plant family Malvaceae. It has a number of common names, including pyramid tree, Norfolk Island hibiscus, Queensland white oak, and sally wood. On Norfolk Island, it is often called simply white oak. Because its seed capsules are filled with irritating hairs, it is also commonly known as the itchy bomb tree and the cow itch tree.
