About Laetiporus huroniensis Burds. & Banik

Laetiporus huroniensis is a polypore fungus species that belongs to the family Fomitopsidaceae. It is distributed in the Great Lakes region of eastern North America. In this area, it fruits on large logs found in old growth conifer forests. The type collection of this fungus was collected in Ottawa National Forest in September 1999, growing on Tsuga canadensis.
