This moth has been recorded in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, and New Jersey; its presence in Indiana is unconfirmed. Adult Lacinipolia vicina have been documented in flight across two generations per year: one generation flies from April to May, and the second flies from September to October. Its larvae are thought to be polyphagous ground-dwelling insects.
