About Krigia cespitosa (Raf.) K.L.Chambers ex Vuilleumier
Krigia cespitosa, commonly called common dwarf-dandelion, opposite-leaved dwarf-dandelion, or weedy dwarfdandelion, is a North American plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. It is native to northeastern Mexico (specifically Nuevo León) as well as the southeastern and south-central United States, ranging from Florida to Texas and extending north as far as southeastern Nebraska, southern Illinois, and central West Virginia. Krigia cespitosa is an annual herb that grows up to 42 cm (16.8 inches) tall. One plant typically produces one flower head per flower stalk; each head holds 12–35 yellow ray flowers and no disc flowers.
